
Red Clover, Chamomile and Spearmint Herbal Tea

Tea. Love it. I researched these home grown herbs to concoct an herbal blend to balance hormones (I’m 50 now), balance blood sugar ,and take a whack at lowering blood pressure. I start with natural approaches first. Not against science and meds. But if I can make a difference with a cuppa tea, I’m gonna give it a go. And a hot beverage on a winter night – delightful.
These herbs were grown by Free Verse Farm here in VT. I try to keep it local. They’re quality. Delicious. Fresh and aromatic. This blend goes like this:
fresh spring or well water | sachet or tea ball | chamomile | spearmint | red clover (herbs: enough to fill the sachet)
You know. Boil the water, fill the tea bag, steep for desired amount of time. It’s a delicate tea, so longer than usual perhaps. Drink up! I add to smoothies, coffee and soups sometimes. Because I’m a bit of a mad scientist like that.
